Scale and engineering complexityThe project was implemented as part of the overhaul of one of the key transport facilities in Ukraine - the bridge crossing over the Khadzhibeysky estuary on the international highway M-05 Kyiv - Odesa. The work on the existing highway required high precision engineering solutions, phased construction organization, compliance with strict requirements for road safety and ensuring continuous operation of the transport infrastructure.Technological implementationWithin the framework of the project, a complex of specialized construction and installation works was carried out to reconstruct the upper and lower structures of the bridge. The installation of a monolithic reinforced concrete slab of the carriageway, installation of prefabricated reinforced concrete structures, installation of expansion joints, waterproofing of concrete surfaces, repair of load-bearing structures, installation of barrier and railing fencing, as well as installation of surface runoff treatment systems using oil product separators were implemented. All works were carried out in accordance with the current DBN, DSTU and modern bridge construction technologies.
Project management and coordination
During the implementation of the project, effective interaction was ensured with the Customer - the Highway Service in the Odesa Region and the General Contractor - Mast-Bud LLC. Comprehensive planning of construction and installation works, coordination of production processes, quality control of materials and structures, compliance with the calendar schedule and labor protection requirements were carried out. Special attention was paid to the organization of works in the conditions of an active transport artery and to minimizing the impact of construction on road traffic.
Customer value and sustainable impact
The overhaul of the bridge crossing significantly increased the level of operational reliability and safety of the international highway M-05 Kyiv - Odesa, ensuring the durability of structures and compliance with modern regulatory requirements. The introduction of modern materials, an effective drainage and surface runoff treatment system, new expansion joints and protective elements allowed to significantly increase the service life of the structure, improve transport safety and reduce further operating costs.
